Lorna started coming to Pilates in 2013 following deteriorating back problems which had resulted in complete cessation of a previously active lifestyle and chronic pain. Pilates was recommended by her Physiotherapist and Osteopath and she was attracted to the “Body Control” description. She was greatly impressed with the initial assessment and practice thereafter and, for the first time in several years, began to make real progress to becoming pain free and active once again. It is not an overstatement to say that Pilates has completely transformed her situation and she has enthusiastically embraced the training to become a Body Control Pilates qualified teacher in level 3 matwork early in 2016.

Nora discovered Pilates 12 years ago during rehabilitation for a running injury. She has been hooked ever since and is convinced Pilates balanced her marathon training and helped her over the finish line all 4 times.
She firmly believes Pilates is for everyone and went on to train as a teacher with Body Control in London in 2008. Nora advocates that Pilates brings balance to the body (and mind), and that movement is fundamental to wellbeing. She has learned that practise of the method brings increased awareness and precision of movement and the importance of good technique is key. She is keen to help her clients feel the same benefits.
Nora is a qualified equipment teacher, a Master Matwork teacher, and a Barre Concept Teacher after training with Pilates Union. Barre Concept is a method combining ballet, pilates, yoga and fitness training. This new workout promises great results.
Nora continues to be inspired by the variety and progression offered by the Pilates method, which means she can ensure her clients will find what they need from Pilates……and have fun on the way!

Training with Body Control Pilates meant she came to work with Rhona and Mariana who supervised her on her journey. Now as a fully qualified teacher she runs beginners and mixed level classes. Lynne is also available for private lessons.
