Mariana first came to Pilates to see if it could help with a back problem. She found she had great results and fell in love with the method, going on to train with Body Control Pilates as a teacher, completing the level 3 mat work course in May 2013 and gaining the Master Matwork certification in November 2016. She is qualified to teach pregnant and post-natal clients and also is a qualified equipment teacher and supervising teacher for Body Control Pilates. Lorna started coming to Pilates in 2013 following deteriorating back problems which had resulted in complete cessation of a previously active lifestyle and chronic pain. Pilates was recommended by her Physiotherapist and Osteopath and she was attracted to the “Body Control” description. She was greatly impressed with the initial assessment and practice thereafter and, for the first time in several years, began to make real progress to becoming pain free and active once again. It is not an overstatement to say that Pilates has completely transformed her situation and she has enthusiastically embraced the training to become a Body Control Pilates qualified teacher in level 3 matwork early in 2016.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga
I teach mixed level vinyasa flow with an emphasis on curiosity, fun and encouraging a deeper connection to self through mindfulness and meditation.
I also work in the arts as a programmer, producer and organiser – supporting artists to develop their practice and new ideas and in my spare time like to put on gigs, events and parties in various DIY and community contexts in Glasgow. I love to weave various parts of yoga practice into my approaches to all of this.I have experienced some of the most profound shifts and revelations of my life on the mat and my goal as a teacher is to hold that same space for transformation, power and joy for folks that attend my classes. I believe that yoga is a holistic technology for landing us deeply in the core of ourselves - allowing us to access the strength of our body-wisdom, to find spaciousness and freedom through breath, and to encounter and dismantle the boundaries we might have set up for ourselves – be those physical, mental or emotional.
